How to Remove Willo Links from Your LMS Course
Remove publisher links when the ISBN adopted through the bookstore does not match the ISBN currently paired in your LMS course. Mismatches can cause students to lose access or be prompted to purchase materials again.
To resolve this, all existing publisher-related links must be removed from the LMS course. Removing links does not delete student accounts, grades, or activity — it only removes LMS access points.
Once links are removed, the course can be reset and paired to the correct bookstore-adopted ISBN, ensuring proper student access and grade synchronization.
Important Notes:
- Removing links does not cancel adoptions or billing
- Student work and grades remain intact
- Correct links will be re-added after the reset
Start Here: Select Your LMS to Remove Follett Willo Links
Canvas
- Open your Canvas course
- Select Modules
- Locate the publisher link
- Select the three-dot (⋮) Options menu
- Choose Remove and confirm
Repeat for all publisher links, including Instructor Self-Service and Follett Access Support links.
Hide Publisher Link in Course Navigation
- Select Settings
- Open the Navigation tab
- Locate the publisher link
- Drag it to Hidden or select Disable
- Select Save
Students must access publisher materials from Modules or Assignments.
Blackboard (Ultra or Original)
- Open your course content
- Locate the publisher item
- Select the three-dot (⋮) or ▼ menu
- Choose Delete and confirm
Repeat for all publisher-related links in course content and assignments.
Navigation Links
Hide the direct LTI publisher access link from the course navigation menu.
Students must access materials only through Willo links in Content Modules or Assignments.
Brightspace / D2L
- Open your course
- Select Content
- Locate the publisher link or topic
- Select the dropdown arrow
- Choose Delete Topic and confirm

How to Re-Add Willo Links to Your LMS Course
After incorrect or outdated publisher links have been removed, the Willo pairing has been reset, and the correct ISBN has been confirmed, you may proceed with re-adding the Willo links.
