In this article, you will find the steps to connect your Great River Learning course materials to your Canvas course using the Follett Willo Digital Delivery LTI 1.3 Tool.
Part One — Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 Tool
Step 1
Navigate to your course in Canvas and click Modules.
Step 2
Click the blue + Module button on the right-hand side.
Step 3
Name the module Course Resources (or a similar title), then click the blue Add Module button.
Step 4
In the newly created module, click + to add an item.
Step 5
Select External Tool from the dropdown menu, then click the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 link.
Step 5a — Only If Needed: Add the Tool Manually
Use these steps only if the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 tool does not appear in the dropdown menu during Step 5.

- Click + in the module → choose External Tool.
- Enter a Name (e.g., Follett Willo Digital Delivery).
- Paste the correct URL:

- Check Load in a new tab and click Add Item.

Step 5a — Adding the Follett Willo tool manually.
Part Two — Pairing the Courseware Tool
Step 6
Click the Continue in a new window button.
Step 7
The Select Course to Pair screen will appear. If you teach more than one course, choose the correct one and click Pair Course.
⚠️ Note: If you don’t see your course or the pairing is incorrect, use the Missing Course Pairing section below.
Missing Course Pairing?
Click here if your course did not appear in Step 7 or the pairing is incorrect, follow the instructions below:
- Click Missing Course or Pair My Course Manually.

Missing Course sidebar opens. Search for your course materials in one of two ways:
- Search Course or Material to Pair: Enter course code or instructor name, then click Search.

Add a Product Token: Enter a product token and click Verify.
Need a Product Token? Email facultysetup@follett.com.
- Click Confirm, select the term, click Continue, then click Initialize Pairing.
Part Three — Adding Publisher/Product Links to Course Tool
Step 8.
Select Continue to Publisher on the right to proceed to Great River Learning.
Note: We’ll revisit this page later in the process to add the Follett Access Support link(s).
Step 9.
You will now be redirected to your Great River Learning instructor account.
If prompted, log in and choose the appropriate course section to pair by selecting Select next to the course name, then click Confirm.
Next, choose the gradebook you wish to associate with your LMS (as shown below).
Step 10.
Select content to deep link to and then click Submit.
Step 11.
The link(s) will now appear in your Canvas Course Module area. Click the Great River Learning link added to initialize the course pairing.
- This step is necessary to ensure student access.
Your Great River Learning Course is now paired to your Canvas course!
Adding the Follett Access Support Links:
Adding the Follett Access Support and (optional) Instructor Self-Service links:
- In your course, click + → External Tool and select the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 tool.
- From the Add Course Links screen, check the link(s), then click Add Links.
Note: Hide Instructor Self-Service from students. It’s for instructor use only and routes to the Course Management page.
Grade Sync:
Grade sync is supported for Great River Learning and does not require any additional setup beyond returning the deep links to the LMS.
Troubleshooting Common Errors:
If the following message appears, the incorrect option may have been selected during the course pairing process. In this case, contact your Great River Learning representative for assistance.
