In this article, you will find the steps to connect your adopted Course Resources to your Blackboard course using the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 LTI Tool.

① Part One: Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 Tool
1️⃣ Navigate into your Blackboard Learn course
Open the Blackboard Learn course where you want to add your course materials.
2️⃣ Open or create a Content Area
Click an existing Content Area in the left course menu, or create a new one (example shown below).

3️⃣ Add the Follett Willo Digital Delivery tool
Select Build Content → Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3.

② Part Two: Pairing Publisher Courseware
In this section, you’ll pair your Blackboard course with the correct publisher materials so students can access their content directly from your course.
1️⃣ Launch the pairing workflow.
Click Continue in a new window to open the Follett Willo pairing experience.
2️⃣ Select your course to pair.
On the Select Course to Pair screen, choose the correct course and click Pair Course.
If you teach multiple courses, be sure to select the matching section.
⚠️ If you don’t see your course: Use the Missing Course Pairing option below.
Missing Course Pairing (use only if your course is not listed)
- Click Missing Course or Pair My Course Manually.
- Search for your materials using one of the following methods:
- Search Course or Material: Enter the course code or instructor name.

Add a Product Token: Enter the token and click Verify.
Need a token? Email facultysetup@follett.com.
- Click Confirm, select the correct term, click Continue, then click Initialize Pairing.
③ Part Three: Pearson — Adding Courseware Links
In this section, you’ll add the required Pearson courseware links to your Blackboard course and complete the final steps needed for student access.
1️⃣ Add Pearson links to your Blackboard course.
Select the checkboxes for Follett Access Support and Pearson Course Materials, then click Add Link(s).
2️⃣ Initialize the course materials.
Click Close Window, return to your Blackboard course, and navigate back to the Module where the links were added. Click the Pearson Course Materials link.
✅ Required step:
Launching the Pearson Course Materials link completes the pairing and enables student access.
3️⃣ Confirm access and publish for students.
Verify that the Blackboard Module and the Pearson Course Materials link are published and visible to students.
Students must access Pearson materials only through the Pearson Course Materials link in the Module — not through Access Pearson in the left-hand navigation.
Tip: Hiding the Access Pearson menu item helps prevent confusion and ensures students use the correct access path.
4️⃣ Sign in to Pearson (if prompted).
Log in using your Pearson Instructor Account. If prompted, click Link Accounts.
5️⃣ Complete Pearson course setup.
Based on the screen you see, follow Option A or Option B below.
Option A — Open an existing Pearson course
Select Open MyLab & Mastering to access your Pearson Instructor Dashboard.
Your course is now paired.
Confirm the module and Pearson course materials link are published and visible to students, as students MUST access materials from the module.
Option B — Copy or create a Pearson course
- Select an existing course, or
- Enter a Course ID, or
- Create a new student-use course.
6️⃣ Finalize setup.

If you see the screen below, choose one of the following options to continue:
- Click Select above the displayed course text, or
- Enter a Course ID to copy an existing Pearson course, then click Search, or
- Click on "Select an existing course to copy" to choose from your list of Pearson courses.
- Select Student-use Course
- Enter the course details
- Click Create course, and wait for confirmation.
- You will receive an email from Pearson when your course is ready.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Use something specific for the course name such as your term and class section. This helps you quickly identify the course later.
- Students who try to register before the start date get a course2 error.
- Students can no longer open the Pearson course on the course end date (Eastern Time, US). Set a date after the last re-take opportunity for the final exam.
- Select whether to allow other instructors to copy your course using your course ID. You can change this setting later.
7️⃣ Confirm access and publish for students.
Verify that the Blackboard Module and the Pearson Course Materials link are published and visible to students.
Students MUST access Pearson materials only through the Pearson Course Materials link in the Module — not through Access Pearson in the left-hand navigation.
Tip: Hiding the Access Pearson menu item helps prevent confusion and ensures students use the correct access path.

- Launch by clicking the Pearson Course Materials link from the Module.
- Confirm the Module and Link are published and visible for students ✅.
- Direct Students to access materials from the link(s) in the Blackboard Module, not via Access Pearson.

1️⃣ Navigate to your Blackboard Ultra course
Open the Blackboard Ultra course where you want to connect your Pearson materials.
2️⃣ Open Course & Institution Tools
From the left panel, under Books & Tools, click View course & institution tools.
3️⃣ Launch the Follett-Willo tool
From the Institution tools list, click Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3.
3️⃣a If you don’t see the tool
Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click Browse all course tools.
3️⃣b Select Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3
From the full list of tools, select Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3.
Don’t see Follett-Willo 1.3? Click here to add it manually.
If the Follett-Willo tool is not available, follow the steps below to add it as a manual LTI link.
- Click a + icon on the course homepage and select Create.
- Select Teaching Tools with LTI Connection.
- Enter a clear Name (e.g., Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3).
- Paste the correct URL:

- Keep the item hidden from students.
- Check Open in a new window.
- Click Save, then launch the link.
Once launched, continue to Step 4 (Pairing) .
② Part Two: Pairing Publisher Courseware
In this section, you’ll pair your Blackboard course with the correct publisher materials so students can access their content directly from your course.
