What's new in the latest version of the adoption tool?
We’re reimagining our course material adoption tool to meet the evolving needs of faculty and
department admins. Changes include a modern look and feel, streamlined adoption flow, and
improved material search. More changes are coming soon as we continue to enhance the adoption
experience. Learn more about what’s new here.
Where can I go to learn more about the new experience?
Navigate to Instructor Videos to view demo videos and learn how to navigate to the improved experience. Or, visit Follett.com to learn about the research program that informed these new enhancements!
What are Open Adoptions?
Open Adoptions refer to a feature that allow faculty to easily review selected materials for their
classes before submitting them for adoption. Open Adoptions include suggested materials used in
a previous term, in addition to materials manually added from the search bar.
How do I access Open Adoptions?
Once logged in, you’ll automatically see your Open Adoptions for the current term. If necessary,
you can switch terms as well as return to the Open Adoptions page anytime. Once materials are
reviewed and submitted, they are moved to the Submitted Adoptions page. This allows you to easily
track which classes have completed adoptions or not.
Can I adopt materials by section?
Yes! You can adopt materials by a particular section of a course, ensuring that you can tailor
content specifically to your students needs.
What happens after I submit my adoption?
Once your adoptions are processed by the bookstore, the status of your adoptions will update in the
Submitted Adoptions page
