✅ Troubleshooting Faculty Access - Willo
💻 Use a Supported Browser and Device
Willo works best when you access it under the following conditions:
- Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Use a desktop or laptop computer rather than a mobile device or tablet.
- Disable any pop-up blockers.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
🍪 Allow Third-Party Cookies
Willo and publisher platforms rely on third-party cookies to establish the secure connection between systems.
If these cookies are blocked, the link may fail to launch.
You can either enable third-party cookies globally in your browser settings or, for tighter control, allow them only for the specific sites involved. Instructions for each supported browser follow.
Google Chrome
- Add the Willo ebook or courseware link to your LMS course.
- Launch the link once from within the LMS.
- If Chrome indicates that third-party cookies are blocked, select the Third-party cookies blocked icon in the address bar.
- Choose to allow third-party cookies for the current site, close the message, and reload the page.
To manage allowed sites directly:
- Navigate to Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, then select Add.
- Enter the applicable website domain. To allow every page belonging to that domain, place [*.] before it—for example, [*.]example.com.
- If you need to locate the domain, open the LMS link's Edit, Edit Link, or External Tool settings and copy the destination address. Add only the main website domain to Chrome's allowed list—not the full course-specific URL.
Mozilla Firefox
- Add the Willo ebook or courseware link to your LMS course.
- Launch the Willo or publisher link from within the LMS.
- Select the shield icon to the left of the address bar.
- Turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for that site. Firefox will reload the page and apply the exception only to that website.
Additional Steps
If the issue persists after adjusting your cookie settings, try the following:
- Log out of your LMS and log back in. If the problem continues, repeat this in a private or incognito browser window.
- Disable any browser extensions that may interfere with the connection.
If an option described above is unavailable, or if the issue continues after trying these steps, please contact your institution's LMS administrator or IT support team for further assistance.
