The groups feature on Kortext allows users to share notes, eTextbooks, links, and other study materials with their peers on Kortext study.
Create a Group
- Once logged into Kortext, click on Groups in the left-hand toolbar in the bookshelf.
- Next, click +Create in the right-hand corner of the page. In the popup window, type a name for your group and a description, if you’d like.
Add Members and Modules to your Group
After creating your group, click the Members button in the right corner of the page., then select Add members.
- Here, you can enter the email addresses of the peers you’d like to collaborate with to add them to your group.
- You can also add course codes so that invitations will be sent out to other users enrolled in the same courses as you.
- While inviting members, you can also assign their role in the group, from observer to group leader, using the dropdown menu.
Add Content to your Group
To share your work with group members, you’ll need to save content to your group.
- Start by opening your eTextbook and finding the note you’d like to share.
- Open the Edit note menu and click on the person icon at the bottom of the pop-up. From the dropdown menu, choose the group you’d like to share it with, then click Save and share.
- When you return to the groups tab and select the relevant group, you and the group member will all now see your shared note.
