In this article, you will find the steps to connect your adopted course materials to your Canvas course using the Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 LTI Tool.
① Part One: Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 Tool
1️⃣ Open your course in Canvas and select Modules.
2️⃣ Locate and launch the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 tool.
The Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 tool may appear in one of two locations in Canvas. Select the option below that matches what you see in your course.
Option A — Tool is readily available
✔ Most instructors use this option.
- Click the ︙ (More Options) menu to the right of the + Module button.
- Select Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3.
➡️ Continue to Part Two .
Option B — Add the tool to a new module
Use this option if the Willo tool is not listed in the ︙ (More Options) menu.
- Click the blue + Module button.
- Create a module named Course Resources.
- In the new module, click +, choose External Tool, and select Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3.
➡️ Once the tool opens, continue to Part Two .
Option C — Manually add the tool (only if Options A and B are unavailable)
Use this option only if you do not see Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 after trying Options A and B.
- Click + → choose External Tool.
- Enter a name (e.g., Course Resources).

- Click Add Item.

② Part Two: Pairing Publisher Courseware
In this section, you’ll pair your Canvas course with the correct publisher materials so students can access their content directly from your course.
1️⃣ Launch the pairing workflow.
Click Continue in a new window to open the Follett Willo pairing experience.
2️⃣ Select your course to pair.
On the Select Course to Pair screen, choose the correct course and click Pair Course.
If you teach multiple courses, be sure to select the matching section.
⚠️ If you don’t see your course: Use the Missing Course Pairing option below.
Missing Course Pairing (use only if your course is not listed)
- Click Missing Course or Pair My Course Manually.

Search for your materials using one of the following methods:
- Search Course or Material: Enter the course code or instructor name.

Add a Product Token:
Enter the token and click Verify.
Need a token? Email facultysetup@follett.com.
- Click Confirm, select the correct term, click Continue, then click Initialize Pairing.
③ Part Three: Adding Courseware Links
In this section, you’ll add publisher courseware links to your Canvas course so students can access their materials directly from your module.
1️⃣ Choose how to add your courseware links.
On the screen below, select the option that matches your publisher.
Option A — Continue to Publisher
✔ Use this option for the following publishers.
Select Continue to Publisher if your course uses one of the following publishers:
- Cengage
- Vista Higher Learning (VHL)
- Sage Vantage
- Great River Learning
- JoVE
- Jones & Bartlett
- W.W. Norton (Willo 1.3)
Option B — Add Links
For all other publishers, select Add Links and follow the steps below.
- Select the product links you want to add to your course.
- Click Add Links to push them into Canvas.
- Once added, click the new publisher link in your module to complete pairing on the publisher’s site.
2️⃣ Launch the publisher course materials.
In your Canvas module, click the newly added Publisher Course Materials link.
This step is required to complete pairing and enable student access.
3️⃣ Finalize setup on the publisher site.
Click Continue in a new window and follow the publisher’s prompts to complete setup.
You may be asked to confirm your academic term. Select the correct term and click Submit.
