In this article, you will find the steps to connect your adopted course materials to your Canvas course using the Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 LTI Tool.
Part One:
Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.1 Tool
Step 1.
Navigate to your course in Canvas and click on Modules.
Step 2.
Click the blue + Module button on the right-hand side.
Step 3.
Name the module Course Resources (or something similar). Then click the blue Add Module button on the bottom right.
Step 4.
In the newly created module, click +.
Step 5.
- From the dropdown menu, select External Tool.
- Click the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.1 link.
- Click Add Item.
Step 5a – Only If Needed: Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery Tool Manually
Use these steps only if the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 tool does not appear in the dropdown menu during Step 5.

- Click + in the module → choose External Tool.
- Enter a Name (e.g., Follett Willo Digital Delivery or Course Resources).

- Check the box next to Load in a new tab.
- Click Add Item.

Step 5a – Adding the Follett Willo Digital Delivery tool manually.
➡️ Then click the Follett Willo Digital Delivery 1.3 link you just added and continue to Step 6.
Part Two: Pairing Publisher Courseware
Step 6.
Click the Follett Willo digital delivery 1.1 link from your Canvas module and then click the Continue in a new window button.
Step 7.
The Select Course to Pair screen will appear. If you teach more than one course, you may see multiple options. Choose the correct course and click Pair Course, then proceed to Step 8.
⚠️ Note: If you do not see a course listed, or if the course information is incorrect, click the Missing Course Pairing section below.
Missing Course Pairing?
Click here if your course did not appear in Step 5 and follow the instructions below:
- Click Missing Course or Pair My Course Manually.

Missing Course sidebar opens. Search for your course materials in one of two ways:
- Search Course or Material to Pair: Enter course code or instructor name, then click Search.

Add a Product Token: Enter a product token and click Verify.
Need a Product Token? Email facultysetup@follett.com.
- Click Confirm, select the term, click Continue, then click Initialize Pairing.
Part Three:
Part Three: Adding Publisher/Product Links
Step 8.
On the screen below, select the correct option based on your publisher - see guide below.
🔀 If your course uses one of the following publishers, select Continue to Publisher:
- Cengage
- Vista Higher Learning (VHL)
- Sage Vantage
- Great River Learning
- JoVE
- Jones & Bartlett
- W.W. Norton (1.3)
🔀 For all other publishers, select Add Links:
- Select the product links you want to add to your course.
- Click Add Links to push them into your LMS.
- Once the links appear, click the newly added publisher link in your course to finalize the pairing process on the publisher’s site.
⚠️ Note:
Note: The Follett Access Support link is available to both students and faculty and directs students to the Follett Access Helpdesk for access issues.
Note: The Instructor Self-Service link (optional) is for instructor use only and should be hidden from students. It provides access to the Course Management page.
Step 9.
You’ll receive a success message. Click Close window and you will be navigated back to your Canvas course.
Step 10.
Return to your Canvas course module area and click on the Publisher or Product link added.
Step 11.
Click Continue in a new window to proceed.
Step 12.
You will be automatically redirected to the publisher’s website to finalize the setup and pairing process.
Step 13.
If prompted, select your academic term from the dropdown menu and click Submit.
Your course materials are now paired with your LMS course!
