Follett Course and Total Access Add/Drop Process
Digital Drop – Courses Using Digital Content
- If a student drops a class before the campus-designated Census Date or Last Date to Process Drops, a digital return will automatically be processed on their account for Follett Access.
- Access to digital course materials will be revoked within 12–24 hours of the recorded drop. No further action is required by the student.
- If the drop occurs after the Census Date, access will remain active, and charges will not be refunded.
Digital Add – Courses Using Digital Content
- When a student adds a class participating in the Course Access or Total Access program, digital access will be granted within 24–48 hours of enrollment.
- In some cases, courseware access may be available immediately through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- No action is required by the student.
Physical Drop – Courses Using Physical Content
- If a student drops a class before the Census Date, they must return any physical materials to the campus store.
- If no materials were picked up, students should notify the campus store to avoid unnecessary charges.
- Physical materials must be returned within one week of the Census Date to ensure proper credit.
- Returns can be made:
- In person at the campus store
- By mail (at the student’s expense) with a note indicating the return is due to a course drop
Failure to return physical materials may result in continued charges for Course Access or Total Access.
Physical Add – Courses Using Physical Content
- If a student adds a course before orders are fulfilled, materials will be processed and available at least one week prior to the start of class.
- If added after that timeframe, allow 24–48 hours for materials to be prepared for pickup.
- Students will receive an email notification from Follett when materials are ready for pickup.
